Thank you for the analysis Rob. I fondly remember the teenage angst of the Gap years. I’m thinking how a re-branding may help them out — even some of these ‘basics’ brands are now tapping into a more sustainable model (ethically-sourced clothing, etc.) that the entire Gap conglomerate is not generally aligned with that well. Also, I think there may still be a market in Eastern markets, I’m thinking — perhaps Eastern Europe? Anyways thinking out loud here, but nonetheless, thanks for sharing your research and perspective!
