I find this interesting — I think searching for meaning (and looking inwards), while in the midsts of chaos, has the ability to bring peace of mind. Understanding and rationalization are, perhaps, ways of coping. Examining life also has a certain existential quality which I enjoy. Oscar Wilde put is eloquently: ‘Most people are other people. Their thoughts are someone else’s opinions, their lives a mimicry, their passions a quotation.’ Maybe then, resorting to philosophy to navigate chaos, will make us understand our personal experience more (and then, subsequently, our role as individuals), in an unrecognizable world.
